So, I was eagerly awaiting the draw for the quarter finals  of the Johnstone Paint Trophy as I’m a Plymouth Argyle fan. This is because my grandparents lived in Plymouth before they passed away. Anyway, Plymouth Argyle’s reward for their 2-0 win over League Two side, Cheltenham Town, was a fixture many people will be licking their lips at. Plymouth Argyle have a home time against local rivals, Exeter City. This game will be played at Home Park in the week commencing on the 8th November.

So, Peter Reid’s Plymouth Argyle will be ‘locking horns’ with Paul Tisdale’s Exeter City for the first time since Plymouth Argyle got promoted to The Championship. It should be a great crowd since it being a local derby but crowds at Johnstone Paint Trophy have been relatively low in both the 1st round amnd the second round. Other ties in the south section are Swindon Town v Brentford, Southend United v Charlton Athletic and Wycombe Wanderers v Bristol Rovers. In the north section, Carlisle v Crewe Alexandra, Rotherham United v Huddersfield Town, Bury v Accrington Stanley/Stockport County and Sheffield Wednesday v Hartlepool.
